Blackwell Parish Council owns and manages the parks and sports areas in Blackwell, Hilcote, Newton and Westhouses. 
The play areas are inspected and maintained by Bolsover District Council.

Allotments

There are three allotment sites in Blackwell Parish:


Blackwell  - Woburn Close, Blackwell, DE55 5HH


Newton - North Street, Newton, DE55 5TS and Littlemoor Lane, Newton, DE55 5TY
