Hilcote Community Centre is a modern building set on the edge of the quiet village of Hilcote and backs onto a stream which leads to a  series of fantastic countryside walks. It is the re-incarnation of the old Miners Welfare which was burnt down and re-built in the 1990s and is now owned and mangaged by Blackwell Parish Council.

The facilities include:

~ a large modern function room with a raised stage and sprung floor suitable for dancing;

~ separate licenced bar area with padded seating;

~ a separate meeting room which can also be used as an extension to the bar area;

~ a kitchen providing self catering facilities complete with cooker and fridge;

Blackwell Community Centre is distinctive with it's unusual curved roof and has the capacity for 250 people. The facilities comprise of: 

~ the main hall, which has a feature wall with old photographs showing the rich history of the parish and a model of the old Blackwell Chapel;

~ a newly refurbished lounge area, complete with comfy sofas to enjoy the fully functional licenced bar;

~ a kitchen with self-catering facilities;

~ disabled friendly - with ramps and disabled toilet;

~ baby changing area;

~ CCTV;

~ a large car park.
